One of my favorite  home recipe.It’s sweet,sour flavor must be a refreshment for all season specially in summer.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup Oyster mushrooms(sliced into stripes)
  • Tamarind extract (5 gm tamarind soak in 1 cup water for half an hour. mash it using your hand and strain it through a strainer. discard the pulp and keep the water)
  • 1 each (dried ,green chili)
  • 2 tsp full jaggery
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 5 cloves garlic(crushed)
  • 1 small onion(sliced)
  • oil
  • Salt

HOW TO PREPARE THE RECIPE

STEP 1

Take 4 big sized oyster mushroom wash it nicely in a water, squeeze all of its water. sliced it into stripes.

STEP 2

In a pan heat 2 tbsp oil and roasted fry the mushroom until all of its moister evaporated and it looks brown.off the gas and keep them in a plate.

STEP 3

In the same pan add 2 tsp oil, splutter mustard seeds, dried red chili, turmeric, chili powder.

Add tamarind extract, Jaggery ,two cup of water, pinch of salt. let the water boil then add mushroom. Let them cook on medium flame for 5 minutes.

In a small pan heat 2 tsp oil ,garlic, green chili, onion ..when the onion ,garlic turns light brown off the gas and spread it over the mushroom.

STEP 4

Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve with steamed rice
