Shrikhand is originated in Maharashtra refereed as” shikhirni”. Coming to mango shrikhand is a sweet dessert gives slight tangy flavor pair with spices cardamom and dry-fruits. The main ingredient of the dish is mango and yogurt.
I have used Greek yogurt which has a creamy texture. You can either use home made or thick full fat packet yogurt.
You can strain it using a muslin cloth or a strainer to discard the water. In muslin cloth it takes time since its dripping slowly .It depends on the consistency of curd.
The hung curd after discard all the water look like a creamy cheese ball, which you can use for other snacks too..
I use two medium size ripe juicy mango ,the main ingredients of the dish.Mango pulp has fiber inside so you need to blend it before mix it with the curd.
