Besar is a very popular in Odisha. It may be vegetarian or non-vegetarian. Most often besar cooks in every odia family. But yes fish and mustard paste combination is luscious. I am prepared with small fish and mustard paste.
I always cook big fish but this time I found these small fishes in our local market. As all we know Fish is a high-protein, low-fat food that provides a range of health benefits. And when it comes to small fish then I must say everyone should eat small fish at least once in week for good health.
Coming to my dish I choose maurali or smelt fish one of the best fish in the world which my mother says. I always see her to cook maurali with different spices and those curries are really comes out great.
