The richness of ripe banana and sago makes the meal more healthy combined with thick milk,berries,coconut as well.A gluten free breakfast can be served as one of the healthy and delicious dessert in any casual family get together.My refrigerator is always stored with soaked sago most of the time to devour the meal.

My morning are never be descriptive.They always start when an orangy sun cast a rosy hue across the blue sky or sometimes dawn seeped into my room.But one thing is always must happened carving for food which must be simple and healthy too.I always get lazy having only one apple to start my day but that never enough for my appetite so always need something must be quick and versatile.

Although millets the name sound simple and innocent to me.Any millets you can choose but the place where i stay there abandon of little millets production.So i always prefer little millets than others.  When mashed fruits and white pearl sago  stir with creamy millets they create an amazing break fast which you can serve as sweet salad dish in your any party together.


Millet Fruit Salad || Millet Basil Seed Meal

Things we need to prepare

  • 1 cup little millets
  • 4 cups thick milk
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup sago – soaked
  • 2 tbsp basil seeds
  • 1 apple -finely chopped
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup scrapped coconut
  • 1 handful pomegranate seeds
  • 1 handful blue berries
  • sugar – as per taste(any sweeten)
  • 1 tsp crushed pepper corns
  • salt -pinch of

Instructions

For  a quick and busy breakfast, soak sago in water for 2 to 3 hrs.Soak basil seeds in little water overnight.For best result soak sago and basil seeds over night and use it ready-made in the morning.


Clean off millets and rinse in water. Strain the rinsed millets in a juice strainer. Pour 4 cups of water in a pot.When water start to boil add millets,pinch of salt. Cook on lower medium flame until millets are mushy and creamy.Stirring much frequently to avoid sticking to the pan.

Off the gas and allow the cooked millets to cool.You can cook some more time until millets absorb all the water.


Meanwhile discard the water from the soaked sago.Add sago and banana,some berries into a jar and pulse for 4 to 5 times.The mixture should be slightly crushed not fine blended.

Take a shallow deep bowl,add millets,sago mixture and thick milk into it.Use your hand to release the lumps in the millet and mix with the milk.

One by one add chopped apples,rest of berries,basil seeds ,coconut ,pomegranates,pinch of salt and sugar as per your taste.


Now sprinkle few crushed pepper corns over the salad and mix all together. If you want the salad more thick then can be added more milk.

Serve it chilled in any casual break fast or as healthy sweet dish in any party together .
