Paneer Pakora – this one bite finger food will be loved by everyone whether in party or casual time . Although paneer pakora and one cup of tea is enough for an evening snacks. Paneer pakoda stuffed with garlic and tamarind chutney will give a taste of both sweet an tangy flavor to your taste bud.

Paneer when ever this snow pieces are coated with gram flour batter deep fried in oil makes the pakora crunchy outside and soft inside.

Its a lip smacking dish which is a sub – continental dish of India and mostly famous in across all over India.Its one of the among food which is famous in street vendor as street food and  often found in Indian restaurants as well.

For preparing the pakora,you need to prepare the batter first.I have used rice flour to make it more crunchy and crispy.You ca replace it with corn starch.

Always prepare a slightly thick batter so that the paneer cubes are easily coated with the batter .


For stuffed paneer,slit horizontally the paneer cubes and stuff the chutney inside the paneer nicely.For stuffing you can use any chutney of your own choices.

Allow them to keep in a plate  for 4 to 5minutes.

Heat oil in a wok over medium flame.Now dip one paneer pieces into the batter and coat it nicely.Dip them in the oil and fry them until crunchy and golden brown.

Stuffed Paneer Pakora/Fritters

things we need to prepare

  •  10 pieces of paneer – thick and medium pieces
  •  2tbsp  gram flour
  •  1 tbsp rice flour
  •  1 tsp ginger-garlic-chili paste(6 to 7 garlic cloves,small ginger,2 cloves,4 to 5 green chilies)
  •  1/2 tsp turmeric
  •  1/4 th baking soda
  •  oil
  •  salt
  •  Garam masala

for stuffing

  •  tamarind chutney
  •  garlic chutney


Cut paneer into slightly medium thick pieces or you can choose your own desire shape.Sprinkle salt and combine them well.Keep it a side.

In a bowl add gram flour,rice flour,oil (1 tsp),turmeric powder,chili powder,ground paste(ginger-garlic-chili paste),baking soda and add slight water to form a thick paste.Keep it out side for 10 minutes.

For stuffed paneer pakoda slit horizontally one of the paneer piece and place half tsp of garlic chutney or tamarind chutney inside using a spoon..Do the same for the rest of the pieces. Keep them a side for 5 minutes.

You can make the pakoda with out stuffing anything inside the paneer pieces also.

Now whisk the batter nicely. Dip one of the piece in the batter and coat the batter nicely,slowly drop in the hot oil.Fry them on medium flame until crispy and golden brown.

Do the same for rest of the pieces.

Serve them as it is or with any chutney or fresh
