This dish goes delicious with steamed rice or roti if you are planning for weeknight dinner.

INGREDIENTS  

  • 1 cup rajma boiled(Red Kidney Beans)
  • 1 ½ cup masoor dal boiled(pinkish-red lentils)
  • ¼  th cup paneer cubes
  • 1 tomato chopped(seeded)
  • 1 tbsp curd
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 illachi
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Coriander leaves

Some onion rings, green chili

  • Make paste 1:
  • 1 tsp kaju(cashew nut)
  • 1 tsp melon seeds

Soak both in a worm milk and make a fine paste

  • Make Paste 2
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 dried red chilies
  • 8 to 9 garlic pods
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 small ginger

Toss all of the above ingredients in a pan.

Then cool them and make a fine paste along with 1 tsp of kaju-melon paste.And keep them aside.

HOW TO COOK THE DISH

STEP 1

Rinse and Soak both rajma and masoor dal in water for 8 to 9 hours. Discard its water .

Pressure cook Rajma, bay leaf ,cardamom  with 2 cups water  for 15 minutes until soft but not mushy. (3 to 4 whistle on low flame).Remove the Rajma and keep them in a bowl.

Remove the Bay leaf and illachi.

Now pressure cook the masoor dal with 2 1/2 cup water for 15 minutes or 3 to 4 whistle or cook till they are soften.

STEP 2

In a pan heat 1 tbsp oil,add sugar when it turns brown in colour add onion, crushed garlic ,turmeric,chili powder and them them light brown.

STEP 3

Add chopped tomatoes,when it get soft add prepared fine paste .fry them well.

STEP 4

Add garam masala,Rajma. Fry them so that it coated with the masala nicely.

STEP 5

Add curd,salt and saute it

STEP 6

Now add masoor dal,stir it.Pour 1 cup water.boil it high flame when the gravy start to boil add paneer cubes.

STEP 7

Shimmer  for 7 to 8 minutes .Now add chopped coriander leaves.

Serve hot …garnish with onion rings and green chili
