A delectable dish is a combination of sabu dana(tapioca) and singhara atta(water chest nut flour),which goes rich adding dry fruits.Both sabudana and water chestnut are good source of vitamins.

You can prepare SINGHARA N’ SABUDANA KHEER not only vrat but also in normal days when you want to eat anything sugary.

It can be a great substitute for people having fast or  festivals. 

INGREDIENTS

  • ½ cup sabu dana (tapioca)
  • 1 cup water chestnut flour (singhara atta)
  • ½ cup cashews
  • ½ cup raisins (use your own dry fruits)
  • 1 ½ liter milk
  • ½ cup sugar ( adjust accordingly to your taste)
  • ghee
  • salt (pinch of..)
  • water

STEP BY STEP PREPARATION 

STEP 1

  • Wash and soak sabu dana in water for 4 to 5 minutes.Then discard it’s water.
  • Add 3 tsp ghee into a pan and roasted fry till golden brown flour or when a nice aroma comes out ,off the heat.let it cool.
  • In a bowl add water and flour to make a thin paste.keep it aside.
  • Boil milk and keep it aside.

STEP 2

  • In a pan heat 2 cups of water,add sabu dana,salt,sugar..cook on medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes.

STEP 3

  • Lower the flame or off the heat and pour the flour mixture into it.Stir it.
  • It’s better to off the heat to avoid lumps.

STEP 4

  • In a small pan heat 2 tsp ghee and fry all the dry fruits. spread it over the prepared kheer.

STEP 5

  • You can also add more different dry fruits of your choice .Now cool the kheer . serve and enjoy any occasion.
