As the name fish fried ,it is made out of small fishes and less home made spices.An easy and  quick recipe with less effort. Try this delicious recipe with fresh garden greens…


THINGS WE NEED TO PREPARE

  • 250g small fishes (any)
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 tsp crushed ginger-garlic paste
  • 10 green chilies (chopped)
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp gram flour (Besan)
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • Chopped coriander leaves
  • Mustard oil
  • Salt

INSTRUCTIONS..

Step 1 Clean fishes and marinate by adding salt, turmeric for 15 minutes. drain off the water from the marinated fishes.

Step 2 Add all of the above ingredients with 1 tsp of oil. combine all well. keep aside for another 15 minutes.

Step 3  In a pan heat 2 tbsp of oil on high heat..Spread half of the marinated fishes.wait for 1 minute and turn the other side of the fishes. lower the flame.Fry the fishes on medium heat.(don’t turn the fishes until it turn out well).Stir it frequently.Fry them until both the side of the fishes get crispy and brown.

Step 4  Do fry the fishes in small batches to avoid stick with the pan and will be crispy.

Step 5  You can serve it with steamed rice and salad.


PREPARATION STEP BY STEP WITH PHOTOS

  • Clean fishes and marinate them by adding salt, turmeric for 15 minutes. drain off the water from the marinated fishes.
  • If you are using fresh fish then there is no need to marinate.You can just sprinkle salt and start to cook.
  • Doing marination  reduce the smell of fish.
  • Add all of the above ingredients with 1 tsp of oil. combine all well. keep aside for another 15 minutes.
  •  In a pan heat 2 tbsp of oil on high heat..Spread half of the marinated fishes.Wait for 1 minute and turn the other side of the fishes. lower the flame.fry the fishes on medium heat.(don’t turn the fishes until it turn out well).stir it frequently.fry them until both the side of the fishes get crispy and brown
  • Instead of mustard oil,you can use any other cooking oil.But most of the time in odia kitchen we prefer mustard oil,it increase the flavor of the dish
  • Do fry the fishes in small batches to avoid stick with the pan and will be crispy.
