Soy Bean Dip/Spread  is an appetizer make a simple dish more flavourful. It complement boring dish or crunchy snacks to enjoyable when you spread or dipped into the mixture, that’s why its dip or spread.

Although cheese, mayonnaise vegetables blended with herb has their already base in our life as a dip. Soy dip is an unique and more flavourful like other dips but has rich in protein and fibre which soy popular for. A plant based protein belongs to legume family , soybean seeds are blended with simple spices like garlic and onion, seasoning with crushed pepper drizzle olive oil will be a great kick start of your day. The best part of soy dip is you need to prepare it in the night and consume it in the morning enhance the taste.

It’s a vegan and healthy dip edible to spread or make slight thin adding water to enjoy your fries, breads or any snack you would wish to eat.

Soy Bean Spread || Soy Bean Dip

things we need to prepare

  • 1/2 cup soy bean seeds 
  • 3 to 4 garlic pods with peels
  • 4 to 5 green chilies
  •  1 medium onion -chopped finely
  • 1/2 tsp pepper corn crushed
  • Olive oil
  • salt


Rinse soy seeds and soak in enough water over night.

Discard the water and pressure cook in 1 cup of water and salt for 3 to 4 whistle over medium flame. Cook until the seeds are soft. Don’t over cooked the seeds.

Drain the water in a bowl and Cool it .

Heat 1 tbsp. olive oil and shallow fry garlic pods and green chilies. After 2 to 3 seconds when nice aroma comes out ,off the flame. Remove peels from garlic and blend the garlics, green chilies, and boiled soy to form a nice thick paste. You can use the boiled soy water to blend.

Now in a pan heat again 1 tbsp. oil and fry onions until translucence. Pour the blended mixture into the pan ,add slight water to balance your desire  consistency. Cook for 5 minutes. Off the flame.

Drizzle some olive oil (1 tbsp.) and seasoning with pepper before serving on table. Instead of quick serve, i would suggest to serve it after one day, the flavour of soy enhanced ,when you store it in fridge for one night and serve the dip or spread  any of your snacks.
