If you are vegetarian and looking something lip smacking  and different then you  just try this cutlets.You can be add it as your weekend lunch menu

INGREDIENTS

  • 200 gms boiled yam
  • ½ cup green peas
  • 1 chopped onions
  • 2 chopped spring onions
  • 1 chopped green chili

Make a fine paste of the following ingredients and keep a side

  • 5 to 6 cloves garlic
  • 4 cloves
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • Small piece ginger
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/4th tsp nutmeg powder

PREPARATION

STEP 1

Wash thoroughly the yam and cut into medium pieces.Boil in water them until soft.

Here i use pressure cooker with 1 1/2 cup water on medium flame and waiting for 3 to 4 whistles.

Once they done remove from heat and drain its water.

Now peel its skin and mash it.

STEP 2

Now grind the peas

STEP 3

In a large bowl mix yum ,peas, salt, prepared paste, green chili,chopped onions,spring onions .keep the mixture in refrigerator for half an hour

Take out from the refrigerator and make medium sized tikkis/patties

STEP 4

In a pan heat some oil and shallow fry both the side of the patties until crunchy and brown.

Serve as any side dish with any chutney/sauce
